Course Objective: The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend the characteristics of movement and function development of both typically and atypically developing children, to compare these features and to evaluate the differences between them, and to transfer what they learned about the development of movement and function to pediatric physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices.
Course Description: In this course; basic concepts related to motor development, motor skills, motor control, motor learning, principles of motor development, factors affecting motor development, phases of motor development, embryological development process in human, fetal development, primitive reflexes, correction and balance reactions, motor development between 0-12 months, motor development between 13-60 months, development of ambulation, development of postural control, development of reaching, development of grasping and developmental coordination disorder subjects are included.
