National Special Competencies of Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Undergraduate Program: Physiotherapy special competences

I. Knowledge and Foresight:

1.1. Defines basic medical science concepts and principles related to Physiotherapy Rehabilitation, physiotherapy evaluation processes, basic elements and methodical application principles.

1.2 The physiotherapist lists the clinical evaluation tools and methods by analyzing the information gathered about the evaluation in line with the reasoning and problem solving processes.

1.3. It explains the indications, contraindications, side effects of physiotherapy approaches, intervention strategies for the client and the mechanisms used to cope with functional disability, possible intervention methods.

1.4. Lists the near and far-term goals that are suitable for the functional levels to be reached by the service recipient.

1.5. Defines ethical, deontological rules and regulations in line with general and medical interventions within the scope of multidisciplinary work.

1.6. Defines the powers and duties of the physiotherapist, patient rights, basic social and legal principles in line with the criteria and processes of the social security institution.

1.7. Defines information access, research-editing and related statistical concepts in the process of planning, conducting, reporting, presenting and developing scientific research related to physiotherapy within the framework of ethical rules.

1.8. Sağlıkla ilgili girişimcilik, işletme ve yönetim temel ilkelerini mevzuata uygun şekilde tanımlar.

2. Skill:

2.1. Based on the physiotherapy knowledge related to the general health status of the service recipient, it applies, defines the person's health and lifestyle profile, deficiencies, body structure and function, activity participation level, and determines the evaluation and treatment priorities in this direction.

2.2. It creates an intervention plan in line with the physiotherapy diagnosis made by using the data obtained from physiotherapy evaluations, information literacy and evidence-based clinical decision-making processes.

2.3. Systematically applies an individual-oriented physiotherapy intervention by adapting it to daily life.

2.4. It checks the physiotherapy intervention at regular intervals and rearranges it when necessary.

2.5. As a physiotherapist, she/he works in teams with colleagues and professionals from different disciplines.

2.6. It shares the evaluation and intervention results with the service users, taking into account the characteristics of the service user within the framework of confidentiality rules.

2.7. It applies the exercise program that it has planned, as well as consultancy, in the protection and development of health, to the service user, even in cases of healty people

2.8. Apply the principles of lifelong learning.

2.9. It manages the information it has recorded about the service recipient by using health/rehabilitation technologies in the Physiotherapy Rehabilitation process.

2.10. Leads professional clinical practices in line with quality standards during the establishment and management of institutions/organizations/centers providing Physiotherapy Rehabilitation services.

2.11. Develops and presents a scientific research proposal on Physiotherapy Rehabilitation.

3. Attitude:

3.1. Uses effective communication skills by respecting the privacy of service recipients with a biopsychosocial perspective during physiotherapy evaluations and interventions.

3.2. It contributes to the improvement of the safety of the service recipient and employee within the scope of occupational safety in the processes related to Physiotherapy Rehabilitation.

3.3. Has a team understanding in the evaluation and intervention process.

3.4. It adopts an ethical, deontological and legal framework in collecting, recording and reporting the data required in the process of physiotherapy evaluation and interventions.

3.5. Has a critical and analytical perspective in the process of planning and conducting scientific research on physiotherapy

3.6. Physiotherapist takes responsibility with an understanding of interdisciplinary cooperation by preserving its identity, awareness and professional autonomy.
